Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Assist with patient assessments and document findings accurately in electronic health records (Epic).
- Provide support for patients in critical care settings, including Level I Trauma Center and PICU environments.
- Educate patients and their families on health management, medication usage, and post-discharge care.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Collaborate with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Perform coding for billing purposes, ensuring accurate documentation for Medicare and other insurance providers.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
Experience
- Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred, particularly in critical care or trauma environments.
- Knowledge of physiology and nursing practices relevant to patient care is essential.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly Epic, is advantageous.
- Understanding of coding practices related to healthcare billing is a plus.
- Must possess a valid LPN license and be committed to ongoing professional development within the nursing field.
