Position Overview: The Dental Assistant at Alpine Pediatric Dentistry is integral to our mission of providing exceptional dental care in a welcoming and child-friendly environment. This role involves supporting our dental team during procedures, managing patient records, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Your contributions are essential to creating a positive and efficient experience for both our patients and our dental professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with Procedures:
- Prepare and assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including, but not limited to, cleanings, examinations, and restorative treatments.
- Operate dental equipment and instruments, ensuring they are sterilized and maintained properly.
- Patient Care:
- Greet and prepare patients for treatment, making them feel comfortable and addressing any concerns.
- Provide post-treatment instructions and care, answering patient questions about their procedures and oral health.
- Radiography:
- Take and develop dental X-rays as required, ensuring high-quality images that are properly documented.
- Follow all safety protocols during radiographic procedures.
- Clinical Duties:
- Assist in managing and maintaining dental supplies, including ordering and restocking as needed.
- Ensure treatment rooms are clean, organized, and prepared for each patient.
- Patient Records and Documentation:
- Accurately record patient information, treatment details, and updates in electronic health records (EHR).
- Manage patient charts, ensuring all documentation is complete and confidential.
- Administrative Support:
- Assist with scheduling patient appointments and coordinating follow-up care as needed.
- Provide support to the front office team with administrative tasks as required.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, infection control procedures, and confidentiality laws.
- Maintain compliance with dental practice standards and protocols.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience as a dental assistant is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Skills: Strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment. Proficiency with dental software and equipment is a plus.
- Education: High school diploma required; completion of a dental assisting program or certification is preferred.
- Certifications: Current dental assistant certification, CPR/BLS certification are required. Nitrous Oxide, Coronal Polishing, Dental Office Emergencies, OSHA are preferred and will be required upon hire.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 32 per week
