We are currently looking for a Full or Part-time Billing/Office Assistant to join our team. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a difference, learn, and grow in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze patient information for accurate billing
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary information
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve billing discrepancies
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve issues
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
Skills:
- Proficiency in medical billing preferred
- Attention to detail and accuracy in coding and documentation
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and diagnoses
- Ability to interpret medical records and apply coding guidelines
- Strong communication skills
- Organizational skills to manage tasks effectively
Experience:
- 1 year of medical billing experience required

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
