Sourcing Responsibilities:
- Research and Price Testing: Continuous research and testing of prices for production supply products like machinery, equipment, cables, and packaging supplies.
- Vendor Management: Obtaining quotes, submitting PO requests, onboarding new vendors, and maintaining vendor paperwork and insurance documents.
- Packaging Supplies: Establishing preferred vendors for packaging supplies across different locations and creating price benchmarks.
Tools & Equipment Management:
- Calibration and Procurement: Ensuring field service equipment is calibrated and sourcing necessary tools and equipment.
- Inventory Management: Maintaining records using an Asset Tracking System, conducting inventory audits, and controlling tool sharing and loaning.
Freight/Logistics:
- Supporting tasks related to freight and logistics as needed.
Vendor Scorecard:
- Monthly Reporting: Assisting with monthly vendor scorecard reporting, updating quality issue reports, and tracking vendor spend amounts.
This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. It also involves significant interaction with vendors and internal teams, making communication skills crucial.
