Duties:
- Assist the orthodontist in providing quality dental care to patients
- Prepare treatment area and instruments for orthodontic procedures
- Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the orthodontist
- Assist with orthodontic procedures such as fitting braces or clear aligners, adjusting wires, and placing appliances
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and care for orthodontic appliances
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
- Provide excellent patient care and customer service
Experience:
- Previous experience as an orthodontic assistant is preferred but not required
- Dental x-ray certification is required, but can be acquired after hire
- Experience working with patients is desirable
