General Overview: Demand Planning Representative is responsible for assisting the Demand Planning Manager with forecasting activities associated with customers and products. The Demand Planning Representative updates forecast models for their customers, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, and other sources. The Demand Planning Representative is the integration point into the sales and commercial organization. Basic data input, analysis, and communication will be key to success in this position. This position will liaise with customers and the sales/commercial teams to ensure proper response to real-time activity changes.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in updating forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns.
- Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
- Assist in development of forecast and inventory estimations to management.
- Monitor and report on significant changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies.
- Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Maintain a constant relationship with the sales, customers, marketing, finance, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to understand the demand forecasting drivers.
- Challenge the forecasts from the sales teams and the usual runs (historical data, seasonality, market trends, special offers, budgets…) with relevant data analysis.
- Other duties as assigned.
Other Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and prior planning experience is preferred. Must possess a strong analytical and reasoning ability. MRP knowledge is preferred.
- Must be able to work and effectively communicate with all levels of the company and suppliers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power-Point & Microsoft Project.
- 2-5 years of oil & gas or related industry experience is desirable.
- Experience using ERP system for procurement processes, as well as MRP.
- Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.
- Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
