Job Title: Floor Nurse
Duties:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessing and monitoring patients' conditions, administering medications, and assisting with treatments and procedures
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient information, including medical history, symptoms, and treatment plans
- Monitor and manage patient pain levels and provide appropriate pain management interventions
- Assist with case management and coordination of care for patients with complex medical needs
- Perform airway management procedures as necessary
- Work with individuals with developmental disabilities to ensure their healthcare needs are met
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to promote optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications:
- Valid nursing license (RN or LPN)
- Experience working in a nursing home or assisted living facility is preferred
- Knowledge of occupational health practices and regulations
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Skills:
- Patient care: Ability to provide compassionate care to patients and meet their physical, emotional, and psychological needs
- Case management: Ability to coordinate care for patients with complex medical needs and ensure continuity of care
- Airway management: Proficiency in performing airway management procedures, such as suctioning or intubation, when necessary
- Working with individuals with developmental disabilities: Experience in providing healthcare services to individuals with developmental disabilities, understanding their unique needs and challenges
- Pain management: Knowledge of pain assessment tools and interventions to effectively manage patient pain levels
- Inhale: Familiarity with inhalation therapies and the administration of inhaled medications
