What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Clerk position at Alpine Slicing and Cheese Conversion?
We are looking for an energetic person who has the ability to work diligently to help maintain smooth office and dock operations. You will undertake a variety of activities in the office ranging from creating bills of ladings/manifests for trucks going out, printing pallet tags for product coming in, filing and answering the phone to assisting with month end inventories. You must be reliable and hardworking with great communication skills. The ideal candidate will be familiar with office equipment and procedures.
Schedule will need to be flexible but most often Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm. Some Saturdays may be necessary as well perhaps not full days.
Responsibilities
- Maintain files and records so they remain updated and easily accessible
- Answer the phone to take messages or redirect calls to appropriate colleagues
- Utilize office appliances such as photocopier, printers and computers for word processing, spreadsheet creation etc.
- Assist in office management and organization procedures
- Create pallet tags using Microsoft Office Excel/Word to easily identify incoming product
- Generate shipping paperwork utilizing our inventory system
- Perform other office duties as assigned
Skills
- Proven experience as office clerk or other clerical position
- Familiarity with office procedures and etiquette
- Working knowledge of office devices and processes
- Very good knowledge of MS Office
- Excellent communication skills
- Very good organizational and multi-tasking abilities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
