Position: Director of Investment Accounting
Compensation: Competitive base 20% bonus 15% LTIP FTE benefits

MUST:
- Bachelors degree in accounting
- 10 years of experience as an accountant
- 5 years of experience within investment accounting
- 3 years of experience managing an investment accounting team
- MUST come from insurance background
- Very familiar with structured securities, reinsurance, etc
DAY TO DAY:
Our fast growing life insurance and annuities client is seeking an experience and energetic Director of Investment Accounting to join their team. This is a full time role and will be based out of the HQ in Durham, NC and be onsite 3 days a week. The director will be responsible for leading a team that manages investment closing, accounting, analysis, and financial reporting for investment results in multiple regulatory jurisdictions.
In this position you will guide investment managers for complex issues and create processes for the investment accounting platform. Alongside being responsible for the monthly close, you will also make sure a strong internal control environment and regulatory reporting functions are accurate. You will report to the Controller of the company and oversee a team of investment accountants.
