About this Role
We are seeking an experienced Preschool Program Coordinator to join our team at Alpine Union School District. The successful candidate will have a strong background in child development and education, and will be responsible for leading the preschool program.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Lead the preschool program, including planning and implementing curriculum.
2. Develop and implement daily lesson plans, and recommend program changes to enhance quality.
3. Supervise activities of children in the classroom, play area, and grounds.
4. Assist with food preparation and the serving of lunches and snacks.
5. Communicate the preschool program to parents.
6. Comply and prepare data for statistical and operational reports, including basic bookkeeping and filing.
7. Maintain a safe/clean classroom environment.
8. Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
9. Operate audio visual equipment as necessary.
10. Provide assessments, complete progress reports, and conferences with parents.
Requirements:
• Six months experience working in a Child Care Center - minimum 3 hours per day for 50 days in 6 months.
• Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.
• Completion of twelve (12) core semester units: Child Development, Child, Family & Community, Curriculum (age appropriate).
• License, Certificate, Other: Pediatric CPR and Pediatric First Aid Certificate required.
