Job Title: Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist
Hourly pay may very by experience, starting pay $18.00-$20.00
Duties:
- Greet and welcome clients and their pets to the veterinary clinic
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and provide information to clients
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures for pets
- Maintain accurate records of client information and pet medical history
- Handle payments and process invoices
- Coordinate with veterinary staff to ensure smooth flow of appointments
- Provide basic information on pet grooming services and dog training programs
Qualifications:
- Previous vet hospital experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a customer service role preferred
- Knowledge of basic veterinary terminology is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards animals and their owners
