Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Closer to join our team. We work with construction draws, residential and commercial real estate closings. The ideal candidate will have experience with each of these and play a crucial role in the closing process of loans, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and compliant with relevant regulations. The Closer will work closely with loan officers, underwriters, and clients to facilitate smooth transactions while adhering to Fair Housing regulations and other legal requirements.
Duties
- Review and prepare closing documents for accuracy and compliance with contracts and underwriting guidelines.
- Coordinate with various parties including loan officers, real estate agents, and clients to schedule and finalize closings.
- Ensure adherence to TILA (Truth in Lending Act) requirements throughout the closing process.
- Conduct final audits of loan files to confirm all necessary documentation is complete before closing.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Maintain detailed records of all transactions and communications related to closings.
- Utilize 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry and documentation processing.
Experience
- Proven experience in loan processing or loan origination is preferred.
- Familiarity with escrow processes, Fair Housing regulations, and relevant financial services practices is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating independent problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using software tools (Qualia) related to loan processing and document management is an asset.
