What You Will Enjoy Doing
Employee Maintenance
- Maintains personnel files in compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment
- Submits accurate information to Payroll
- Maintains and updates HR system
- Maintains I-9 and personnel files Processes personnel action forms and assures proper approvals; disseminates approved forms
Employee Relations
- Responds to employee relations issues such as employee complaints
- Analyzes wage and salary reports and data to determine competitive compensation
- Plans and conducts new employee orientation
- Provides customer service support to employees
- Coordinates employee activities to ensure that all programs comply with company guidelines
- Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues Maintains employee benefit files and updating employee information for payroll
Employment policies
- Attends other meetings and seminars
- Maintains employees updated with company policies Assists in evaluation of reports, decision and results of department in relation to established goals
Terminations
- Processes terminations
- Conducts exit interviews, analyzes data and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement Represents the company for any unemployment claims
Safety
- Participates and supports management with safety program to evaluate effectiveness of safety processes Conducts continuous safety trainings
Recruiting/Staffing
- Conducts recruitment effort for exempt and nonexempt personnel; conducts new- employee orientations; writes and places advertisements
- Coordinates all employment testing and background checks
- Prepares all required employment documentation
What Makes You Great
Education/Experience:
- 4 year Degree in related field or equivalent 3 years of experience preferred
Qualifications/Skills:
- Knowledge of personnel policy and procedure
- Skills in interviewing techniques
- Knowledge of federal and state law regarding employment practices
- Requires perceptive person
- Requires sense of confidentiality
- Wide degree of creativity is required
