About the Role

ALPS Insurance is seeking an Inbound Business Development Representative to join our team. This role is responsible for increasing sales by engaging with former customers and new prospects, as well as cross-selling additional insurance and legal services when appropriate.
In this role, you’ll handle inbound sales inquiries, perform underwriting duties for solo practice quotes, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service. This full-time, in-office position offers a competitive starting salary of $45,000 DOE, with higher earning potential for experienced candidates, along with opportunities for professional development. What You’ll Do:
- Process and underwrite inbound solo quotes, providing indications and formal quotes as needed.
- Delegate underwriting tasks and sales follow-ups to ensure efficiency.
- Build client relationships through ALPS technology and phone communication.
- Cross-sell additional ALPS products when relevant.
- Maintain accurate sales and renewal records.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
What You Bring:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and proven sales experience.
- Licensing: Ability to obtain and maintain an insurance sales license.
- Experience: Prior sales experience preferred, especially in property, casualty, life, or health insurance.
- Skills: Strong sales acumen, prospecting strategies, negotiation skills, and ability to close deals.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational skills, and presentation abilities.
- Attributes: Self-motivated, professional, resourceful, and solution-oriented with strong independent decision-making skills.
