Order Entry Pharmacy Technician Job Description
Alps Pharmacy is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Order Entry Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As an Order Entry Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our medication order entry process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter and process medication orders in a timely manner
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and other team members to resolve any issues or concerns
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure seamless order fulfillment and delivery
- Perform daily inventory management tasks, including receiving and processing shipments
- Assist with quarterly inventory and other special projects as needed
Requirements:
- Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the state of Missouri, Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred
- 2 years of pharmacy experience, preferably in long-term care pharmacy, retail, mail order, and/or hospital
- Excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 80 pounds
- Specific vision requirements include close, distance, and peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus
