Graphics Designer-Marketing Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY

ALRA Engineers is a D/MBE Certified CM/CI Consulting firm driven by a passion for engineering excellence.  We are seeking a talented, detail-oriented, creative Graphic Designer-Marketing Coordinator to join our team in the civil engineering industry.  This role is responsible for designing high-quality visual materials that support marketing, branding, and business development efforts.  The ideal candidate will create compelling graphics for print and digital media, ensuring consistency in branding and messaging across various platforms.

The Graphic Designer-Marketing Coordinator will work closely with the marketing, business development and engineering teams to develop materials that effectively communicate technical concepts, project success, and corporate identity.  This position reports directly to the Executive Vice President of ALRA Engineers, P.C.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and produce marketing materials, including brochures, proposals, presentations, reports, and advertisements.
• Develop graphics, infographics, and visual content to enhance proposals, technical documents, and engineering reports.
• Maintain brand consistency across all marketing and communication channels.
• Assist in website design updates, layout improvements, and enhancements.
• Create and edit content for digital marketing, including social media graphics, email campaigns, and online ads.
• Collaborate with business development teams to support proposal creation and client presentations.
• Assist with trade show and event materials, including banners, posters, and promotional items.
• Utilize photography and video editing skills to enhance marketing collateral.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging design technologies.
• Provide administrative support as needed for business development and marketing teams.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

·       Education: Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, marketing, communication, or a related field.

·       Experience: 2 plus years of graphic design experience, preferably in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) or civil engineering industry. 

·       Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Canva.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
• Experience with website design (WordPress, or HTML) or SEO strategies.
• Familiarity with video editing tools (Premiere Pro, After Effects) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of branding, typography, and design principles. 
  • Ability to translate complex engineering concepts into visually engaging designs.
  • Excellent communication and organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
