Job Summary:
The Telehealth Coordinator is responsible for managing and facilitating telehealth services within an ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) company. This role ensures the seamless delivery of remote ABA therapy and support services to clients, families, and staff. The Telehealth Coordinator handles scheduling, technical support, communication, and compliance to ensure high-quality service delivery through telehealth platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct Client Interaction:
Implement behavior intervention plans as designed by the BCBA.
Provide one-on-one therapy sessions to clients in home, school, or clinical settings.
Use positive reinforcement strategies to encourage appropriate behaviors.
Collect accurate and detailed data on client behaviors and progress.
Telehealth Program Management:
Coordinate and manage the scheduling of telehealth sessions between clients, therapists, and Telehealth BCBAs (Board Certified Behavior Analysts).
Oversee and maintain the telehealth platform, ensuring it is up-to-date and functional for all users.
Monitor telehealth sessions to ensure quality and adherence to clinical standards and company policies.
Client and Staff Support:
Provide technical support and training to clients, families, and staff on using telehealth platforms and tools.
Troubleshoot any technical issues that arise during telehealth sessions, ensuring minimal disruption.
Serve as a point of contact for clients and families regarding telehealth-related inquiries and issues.
Ongoing clinical support to RBT’s for implementation of treatment plans, behavior support plans, and ongoing interventions
Communication and Coordination:
Facilitate communication between clients, families, clinicians, and RBT’s to ensure smooth scheduling and service delivery.
Collaborate with the clinical team to coordinate telehealth assessments, supervision, and therapy sessions.
Ensure all relevant parties are informed of changes in schedules or service delivery methods.
Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure telehealth services comply with all state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and relevant telehealth guidelines.
Maintain accurate records of telehealth sessions, including attendance, session notes, and technical issues.
Assist in the development and implementation of telehealth policies and procedures.
Quality Assurance:
Monitor client and staff satisfaction with telehealth services and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
Support the clinical team in ensuring that telehealth services meet the company's quality standards.
Assist in the development of training materials and resources for staff and families on best practices for telehealth.
Assessment Support:
Communicate and collaborate in person skills assessments with telehealth BCBA and clinic schedule
Assist Telehealth BCBA’s with initial assessment and reassessment processes including but not limited to probing skills assessment, treatment planning, program modifications, and staff training
Qualifications:
Education: Must have an active RBT certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). Must also be working towards their BCBA certification (actively enrolled in a masters program and collecting fieldwork experience hours).
Experience: Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in a supervisory role is preferred. Strong understanding of ABA principles and techniques.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in telehealth platforms (e.g., Zoom, Doxy.me) and basic troubleshooting skills.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and staff.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities; attention to detail and the ability to manage complex schedules.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and provide compassionate support to clients and families. Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs.
Compliance: Knowledge of HIPAA and other relevant regulations related to telehealth services. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to different service locations if required.
