Requirements i
- Certifications Required: ASCP-CT.
- 1 year of experience required.
- Epic and Cerner Required.
- Required skills: Microscopy, Smeans, Squash Preparations, review/screening of thin prep PAPs, accurate location, and diagnostic skills for abnormal cells.
- Special equipment: Hologic Imaging System, Hologic Review Scope Manual.
- Specialized procedures: Thin Prep, Ascitic Fluid, Esophageal, Gastric, Spinal, Bronchial, Urine, Cytolyt, Saccomono, PAP.
- Scheduling Requirements: Monday-Friday; call or weekends only if needed, communicated by leadership in advance.
- Local Radius: 50 miles radius; locals not accepted.
- Floating policy: Floating to other units and/or facilities expected.
- Unit Accepts 1st time travellers.
- Patient age groups: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
- COVID-19 and Flu Vaccines: Required (Medical/Religious Exemptions Only)
- SSN and DOB submission required
- References required: 2 references within the last 24 months
- Return Staff Policy: Must be gone 1 year (perm staff)
- Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam required for certain units, with 2 chances to pass.
- Fingerprinting required for specific Ohio units; results take 4-6 weeks.
- Modules: First 4 hours non-billable, up to 12 hours total, facility reported.
