About the role
The GEL Junior Business Analyst is the bridge between our talented Technical Team and our operational superheroes. Your mission? To uncover business needs, drive change, and help us deliver amazing solutions that will be used by teams around the globe! You will work closely with a Senior Business Analyst who will teach and guide you through the Business Analysis process, ensuring you gain valuable experience and insights. Your enthusiasm for learning and innovation will thrive in our dynamic environment.
Duties include but not limited to:
As a GEL Junior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for
- Collaborate with end users to identify and analyze business needs.
- Assist in the design and implementation of business solutions.
- Develop and document business requirements and processes in effective and self-contained user stories (US).
- Conduct data analysis on current systems to define clear business rules, data flow and UI requirements, to support decision-making for new systems.
- Work alongside UX experts to incorporate user-friendly and future-proof solutions.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding.
- Concisely handover US to developers.
- Support developers and testers by clarifying written US information, defining clear acceptance criteria and defining test scenarios.
- Work flexible hours to accommodate different time zones
- Other duties as may be required.
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field. Alternatively, 2 years’ work experience in Laboratory to demonstrate knowledge of key operational processes, systems or regulatory compliance requirements.
- Logical approach to problem-solving, strong attention to detail, and an ability to resolve ambiguities effectively.
- An ability to think “outside the box” to creatively identify software-based or operational solutions.
- A strong customer and business focus.
- Proficiency in data analysis and business intelligence tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus.
This position is the best fit for someone who is looking to begin a career in the clinical research profession and who would like to develop their experience and skills to move up within our company. Strong oral, written, and qualitative skills are a plus.
Working conditions:
- Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time, up to eight (8) hours per business day
- Must be able to stand, bend, push, pull, stoop and crouch frequently while performing the duties of this position
- Must be able to lift (with both hands) and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move heavier loads with assistance
- Must be able to interact and communicate effectively with panelists
