Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor a team of customs operators, fostering growth and accountability
- Oversee the customs clearance process for air, ocean, and cross-border shipments
- Ensure full compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and PGA requirements (e.g., FDA, DOT, EPA)
- Lead the establishment of a corporate brokerage license, ensuring all operational and compliance requirements are met
- Develop and implement customs compliance policies and procedures
- Conduct audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures
- Collaborate with clients and internal departments to maintain smooth operations and service delivery
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and advise stakeholders accordingly
Requirements:
- Valid U.S. Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) certification
- 5 years of experience in Customs Brokerage and import operations
- Proven experience in setting up a company’s corporate brokerage license
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing teams
- Knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and PGA requirements
- Experience handling a variety of commodities such as steel, alcohol, and general cargo
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
