Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Scientist to join our Cell Biology research team. In this role, you will contribute to the development of advanced cell-based models of ALS and play a key role in chemical and genetic screening initiatives for drug target identification and therapeutic discovery. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative, mission-driven environment and make a tangible impact on ALS research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-based models of ALS using patient-derived fibroblasts and genome-edited cell lines.
- Perform neural differentiations to generate cellular models for phenotype discovery.
- Design, execute, and manage experiments with a high level of scientific rigor.
- Analyze experimental data and present findings to the Cell Biology team and at company-wide meetings.
- Stay informed of the latest scientific advancements and proactively share new ideas, methodologies, and insights with colleagues.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: MS/MA or Ph.D. in Molecular and Cell Biology or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience with mammalian cell culture and general molecular and cellular biology techniques.
- Preferred Skills: Background in neurobiology, stem cell biology, cellular immunology, genome editing, cell-based assay development, laboratory automation, or high-content cell analysis.
- Attributes: Strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively on multiple projects.
