Job Duties :
- Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Adult Services responding responsibly to patron
- Develops and monitors the budget for Adult Services and Teen staff and supply / equipment expenditures.
- Develops, recommends and administers policies, procedures and processes in support of departmental operations in collaboration with staff and managers across departments.
- Initiates, plans, conducts and evaluates a variety of adult programs and activities to encourage the use of the library and its collections, including book discussions, author talks, art exhibitions, etc.
- Conducts all collection development activities for the library’s adult fiction, audio visual and teen collections including selecting print, nonprint and electronic materials for purchase, withdrawing materials and evaluating databases.
- Assumes some duties of the Library Director in the Director’s absence.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
