Your future role
Take on a new challenge in Mansfield and apply your Hardware Design Engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to the Head of Engineering and work alongside a dedicated and passionate Services team in Alstom UK&I.
Day-to-day, you’ll to provide ‘timely’ Hardware engineering design for a range of electronics systems on a daily basis, to meet agreed / planned deadlines in line with commitments to customer base. Ensure high standards of Hardware engineering for Health & Safety, right first time, efficiency, cost, innovation and service level are consistently achieved. Support delivery of improved product margins. Provide fast resolution to any Hardware engineering issues identified and support good levels of communication throughout business. Raise overall standards in Hardware engineering performance using best practice Hardware design methods and continuous improvement (CI) tools. We’ll look to you to the following :
Responsibility for Hardware engineering design for a range of electronics systems ‘on-time’, safely and to the correct specification and quality standards.
Deliver cost efficient Hardware engineering designs in-line with budget levels.
To ensure best practice Hardware engineering standards are adopted & continuously improved, with careful consideration to obsolescence management.
To ensure full compliance with UK Health and Safety Regulations.
To ensure full compliance with ALSTOM Electronics quality standards.
Ensure KPI targets for RFT, efficiency, cost and service are consistently achieved.
To adhere to all deadlines and targets set by Engineering Manager.
Establish good working relationships and communication throughout the business.
Reporting of Health and Safety / HR issues to the Engineering Manager on a timely basis.
Performance Standards pertaining to the role :
- Zero LTA’s, RFT >
95% & on-time delivery >
95%. 100% compliance with design regs.
