Your future role
As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and managing networking devices, servers, storage, and operating systems within our organization. You'll collaborate with various departments to investigate system issues and develop solutions that enhance our infrastructure's reliability and security. Your expertise will play a vital role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information processed across our networks.
We'll look to you for:
- Installation, configuration, and management of networking devices and servers.
- Evaluation and recommendation of network-related procurement.
- Investigation of system issues to determine root causes and implement solutions.
- Planning and administration of network security measures.
- Development and maintenance of up-to-date system architecture.
- Documentation of system issues and resolutions for future reference.
- Participation in audits and the planning of business continuity and disaster recovery processes.
All about you
We value proactive problem-solving and technical expertise. We don't expect you to have every single skill listed, but the following qualifications will help you excel in this role:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in network and/or systems engineering and administration in a mixed Windows/Linux environment.
- Experience with VMware ESXi, vSphere, and related technologies.
- Familiarity with Nexsan and QNAP storage systems, and Cisco networking devices (switches, routers, firewalls).
- Proficient in TCP/IP-based LANs, iSCSI, Fiber Channel SANs, and VPNs.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server (2012/2016/2019/2022) and Active Directory management.
- Experience with systems monitoring and management in a high-availability data center environment.
- Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance requirements (e.g., NIST, FedRAMP).
Preferred Qualifications:
- MS SQL/MariaDB database experience.
- Current experience with Red Hat/CentOS Linux operating systems.
- Knowledge of SIEM solutions, endpoint security, and vulnerability management tools.
- UHF radio communication experience is a plus.
