Could you be the full-time hybrid Traction Software Development Engineer in West Mifflin, PA, US we're looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your advanced real-time software design and standard application expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside innovative, collaborative, and dedicated teammates. You'll contribute to the complete development cycle of the embedded software for Traction converters, making a significant impact in the safety and efficiency of rail transportation. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (Traction Control and Validation Software Engineers, Project Engineering Managers, and Software Team Leaders), manage the software development process from design to testing, and much more.
We'll look to you for :
- Performance Measurement / KPI's related to Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) indicators,
- Ensuring control command & contractual software are accepted by customers (internal & final),
- Maintaining the quality of delivered work throughout the software development cycle,
- Adhering to and improving the allocated costs,
- Respecting the delivery planning and following up on the software development documents,
- Achieving no non-compliances for delivery during Quality audits (IRIS, Certifer),
- Coordinating Software Design for Traction / Auxiliary system with Software and Control team,
- Minimizing the number of modifications due to coding problems (validation internal or tests),
- Supporting the commissioning team and Traction / Auxiliary control teams
