Alsum Farms & Produce Inc., a grower, packer, and shipper of potatoes & onions located in Friesland, WI is looking for a full-time Quality Inspector! As a Quality Inspector, you would ensure that all products coming into the facility are consistently high quality and adhere to relevant specifications.

Job Schedule: Monday through Friday; 10:00am to 6:30pm

Alsum Farms & Produce Inc., a grower, packer, and shipper of potatoes & onions located in Friesland, WI is looking for a full-time Quality Inspector! As a Quality Inspector, you would ensure that all products coming into the facility are consistently high quality and adhere to relevant specifications.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Inspect all fresh produce arriving at the facility before it's accepted into the warehouse
- Document issues noticed during inspection process and discuss inspection results to the Quality Supervisor
- Recommend adjustments and changes to increase product consistency
- Inspect produce returned by retail customers to determine cause of credit and evaluate who is responsible and how to reduce future issues
- Comply with all aspects of the food safety programs and assist with recordkeeping requirements
- Attend seminars and educational conferences to stay up to date on USDA standards and company quality standards
- Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of fresh produce
- Forklift experience preferred

- Ability to utilize Human Resource Information System (HRIS) software
- Prolonged periods standing and walking
- Various repetitive movements and good manual dexterity to perform required tasks
- Exposure to airborne particles or fumes
- Stairs will need to be climbed throughout the day to access the grading line
- Must wear safety glasses and hearing protection in designated areas
- Occasionally will need to lift up to 60 pounds
