Job Description :
- Apply the principles of the nursing process and work within the policies and procedures of the Patient Care Services Department.
- Manage the overall nursing care provided, ensuring competent, compassionate, and cost-effective patient care from admission to discharge.
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection while performing disease prevention and restorative measures.
- Respond to medical and environmental emergencies effectively.
- Plan and coordinate care delivery to maximize efficiency, ensure patient safety and comfort, and maintain a safe environment.
- Set priorities for and provide patient care in routine and complex situations.
- Serve as a liaison between nursing and medical staff to facilitate a collaborative approach to patient care.
- Coordinate patient, physician, family, and health team member involvement to manage care, resources, and services.
- Administer treatments and medications efficiently and monitor patient perception of care.
- Analyze, input, and integrate patient acuity levels accurately.
- Conduct initial and ongoing patient / family assessments, considering various factors like biophysical, psychosocial, spiritual, and educational needs.
- Develop and implement patients' care plans collaboratively, including discharge planning, disease prevention, and restorative measures.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and modify them as necessary.
- Facilitate patient and family education and ensure communication of all pertinent information with health team members.
- Complete orientation and required modules effectively.
