Job Title: Event Coordinator
Reports to: General Manager
Location: Alta Climbing - Gilbert and Alta Boulders - Chandler
Job Type: Part-Time
Hours: Variable, up to 20 hours per week* Must be able to work some Weekends and Evenings when events are being held

About the Role:
As our Part-Time Event Coordinator, you will play a key role in planning, organizing, and executing a variety of in-gym events that foster community engagement and enhance the member experience. You will be a creative and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and organizational skills, capable of bringing our event visions to life.
What You'll Do:
- Ensure all events are conducted in a safe manner, adhering to gym safety protocols, prioritizing the well-being of participants.
- Communicate safety guidelines to event participants as needed.
- Develop creative and engaging event concepts that align with Alta's fun and energetic atmosphere.
- Ensure events are fun, interactive, and enjoyable for participants.
- Maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with vendors, participants, and staff.
- Manage event budgets and timelines effectively, maintaining a high standard of conduct.
- Ensure all event logistics are handled efficiently and professionally.
- Proactively identify opportunities for new and exciting in-gym events, taking initiative.
- Anticipate potential challenges and develop solutions.
- Take initiative in promoting events to maximize participation.
- Build positive relationships with members and guests attending events, demonstrating a personable approach.
- Provide excellent customer service and address event-related inquiries.
- Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all event participants.
(Specific Tasks May Include):
- Brainstorming and developing event ideas (e.g., themed climbing nights, workshops, competitions, social gatherings).
- Creating event timelines, budgets, and marketing plans.
- Coordinating with internal teams (e.g., operations, sales) to ensure smooth event execution.
- Communicating event details to members and the wider community through various channels.
- Managing event registration and participant communication.
- Setting up and breaking down event spaces.
- On-site event coordination and troubleshooting.
- Gathering feedback and evaluating event success.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in event planning and coordination.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Creativity and a passion for developing engaging experiences.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., email, word processing).
- Knowledge of the climbing community or a passion for an active lifestyle is a plus.
- Must be reliable and punctual with a flexible schedule to accommodate event timings.
