Treatment / Wound Care Nurse

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Wound Care Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing with specialized knowledge in wound care management. This role involves assessing, planning, and implementing care for patients with various types of wounds, ensuring optimal healing and recovery. The Wound Care Nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care and education.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' wounds and overall health status.
• Develop individualized care plans based on assessment findings and patient needs.
• Perform wound care treatments, including dressing changes, debridement, and infection control measures.
• Educate patients and their families on wound care techniques and preventive measures.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record accurately.
• Stay updated on best practices in wound management and participate in ongoing education.

Requirements

• Current nursing license (RN or LPN) in the state of practice.
• Experience in Skilled Nursing is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology related to wound care.
• Skills in wound care management are advantageous.
• Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with the healthcare team.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.87 - $34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
