Electrical Panel Technician

We are seeking a Electrical Panel Technician to join our manufacturing shop in Peachtree City location. The Electrical Panel Technician will be responsible for wiring and building industrial electrical panels for our modular industrial refrigeration units.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Read electrical drawings to layout and fabricate electrical control panels per UL508A
• Work with other team members to test completed panels
• Create as-built drawing mark ups and bill of material
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Work with new employees while performing on-job training.
• Monitor quality of electrical panels to ensure all workmanship is performed up to ALTA specifications and standards
• Maintain clean and organized workspace
• Perform task related but not limited to ALTA’s Motor Starter Panels, Industrial Control Panels, Human-Machine Interface devices and other assorted support offerings.
• Perform required unit updates and modifications prior to unit shipment as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior experience in reading drawings a plus
• Ability to work well with a team
• Willingness to learn
• Mechanical skills and aptitude
• Excellent organizational, problem solving, and follow-through skills.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude
• Ability to manage time effectively
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction/supervision
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Demonstrate an understanding and adherence to all work safety policies, procedures
• Ability to perform physical work and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Kneeling, working on knees, and bending over are required to perform the work
• Outside work performed occasionally
