Razor Health is actively seeking Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physicians, as well as experienced Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (Client) with emergency medicine backgrounds, to support the Department of Veterans Affairs at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center in Augusta, GA.
Position Overview
This is an excellent opportunity to provide care for our nation's Veterans in a Joint Commission-accredited ED with 24/7 operations. Providers will be working onsite as part of a collaborative clinical team that includes both VA-employed and contract professionals.

Key Details
- Work Environment: Onsite only (no remote/on-call)
- Facility: Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center - Emergency Department
- FTEs Required:
- 5.0 FTE for Emergency Medicine Physicians
- 2.0 FTE for APPs (NPs or Client)
- Emergency Department operates 24/7/365
- Providers will work 10-hour shifts
- Sample shifts include:
- 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM
- 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM
- 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM (night shift)
- APPs typically scheduled from:
- 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- 4:00 PM - 2:00 AM
- Minimum Coverage Requirements:
- 3 Physicians per calendar day
- 2 APPs per weekday; 1 APP per weekend/federal holiday
- Physicians must be Board Certified in Emergency Medicine
- NPs/Client must have 5 years of ED experience or emergency-specific certification
- All providers must hold:
- Active, unrestricted license in any U.S. state or territory
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- DEA license (if applicable)
- Must meet all credentialing and privileging requirements of the VA
- Must be U.S. citizens or authorized to work without sponsorship
