Job Summary
Coordinates team-based care to provide health services to individuals, through effective partnerships with patients, their caregivers/families, community resources, and their physician. Facilitates a “shared goal model” within and across settings to achieve coordinated high-quality care that is patient- and family-centered. Actively participate in collaborative efforts and perform improvement initiatives to enhance quality, safety, and efficiency in patient care. Must work collaboratively in team environments focused on performance and quality improvement. Strong Commitment to continuous improvement, with skills in identifying, implementing, and monitoring quality improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities

- Receives patients, determines chief complaints, reviews medical history prior to exam and updates as appropriate
2. As directed and supervised by healthcare professional, collects and records a variety of routine patient data as part of check in procedures including, but not limited to: height, weight, temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, and glucose screen
3. Performs patient checkout instructions; implements medical orders
4. Identifies and reports unusual findings or observations, clinical symptoms, behaviors and treatment reactions to appropriate healthcare professional
5. Prepares exam room for procedures, organizes instruments and equipment; assists healthcare provider during outpatient surgical procedures, applies/removes dressings
6. Cleans and sanitizes exam room and fixtures by removing soiled materials/instruments, replacing exam paper sheets and wiping counter areas to provide for efficient room turns
7. Performs lab draws and basic tests; seals and packages for processing by laboratory
8. As supervised by healthcare professional, administers immunizations to patients in accordance with physician orders.
9. Assists review and reinforce education of basic healthcare procedures and activities
10. Assists coordinate transport of patients from clinic to other healthcare facility; faxes patient information and authorizations to receiving facility to facilitate admission.
11. Assists ambulate patient to and from other clinic areas
12. Actively participates/assists during urgent care situations as directed; initiates and administers CPR as appropriate
13. Maintains current all records of medication and related health care provided in accordance with all applicable regulations, licensing requirements and standards
14. Performs visual inventory of stock and laboratory items; re-orders items to provide for availability of supplies for optimum efficient clinic operations
15. Performs a variety of activities to provide for the ongoing maintenance of the clinic’s environment
16. Performs other duties as assigned
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $23.29 per hour
