Job Summary:
- Assists in the care of patients under the direction of a RN, handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure, has an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon.
- Ensures quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Graduate of Certified Surgical Technician program preferred.
- One year of experience as a Surgical Tech, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Current Certificate as a Certified Surgical Technician is preferred.
- Current BLS certification.
