WGL - Talent Acquisition Specialist
Washington Gas is seeking a highly motivated Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Recruiting Team. This position will be responsible for full-cycle Recruitment for our Operations Teams within our Utility Operations Service Territories. The role has an in-office requirement of Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday each week working out of our Springfield, VA Operations Center.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Conduct end-to-end recruitment processes, from job requisition posting to onboarding, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, develop job postings, and create effective sourcing and interviewing strategies.
Utilize various recruitment channels, including social media, job boards, and professional networks, to attract qualified candidates and build strong talent pipelines.
Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and assess candidates' suitability for specific roles.
Manage the offer and background check processes, ensuring a smooth transition from candidate acceptance to onboarding.
Plan and conduct employee orientation sessions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree preferred or relevant work experience.
At least 2 years of full lifecycle recruitment experience in a fast-paced environment required.
Union Hiring Experience is a big plus
Experience working with Workday is highly preferred.
Proven track record of success with a variety of recruiting methods including direct sourcing via LinkedIn Recruiter, social recruiting and relationship building with pipeline partners.
Knowledge of Recruiting Compliance in accordance with legal, regulatory, OFCCP and company guidelines.
We offer a competitive salary range of $78,000.00 to $102,000.00 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and skills. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
