Front End Developer
Job Summary:
Front End Developer (Troy, MI). Implement business applications for Altair worldwide, including internal and external facing applications supporting Financials, customer support, Project management and other functions. Work in a highly dynamic team to deliver end to end solutions for business processes, using web technologies, databases, and server platforms. Development of external facing applications like Partner Portal. Deliver solutions that perform seamlessly across different web browsers and mobile platforms. Support/maintain both existing and new applications, while directly communicating with stakeholders. Gather requirements, create design, develop & test code, and implement customizations. Build and manage integrations between enterprise applications and 3rd party business applications. Process large data sets amongst enterprise applications. Provide technical expertise in using efficient technologies, methodologies, and design guidelines. Design and develop high quality, scalable, robust & reusable codes, and components.
Education/Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field and 2 years of experience as a Senior Systems Engineer or any related position in design engineering. Must have two years of experience in business application architecture for designing and developing full stack software applications with rich user-friendly interfaces (UI/UX) with cross-platform support (mobile, web) using technologies like, HTML, JavaScript, industry-standard front-end frameworks, CSS and experience in implementing security measures in web applications, APIs, and databases. Must have two years of experience in MySQL, PostreSQL, Oracle, Jave EE, Perl, Python, and SOAP/Restful APIs. Telecommuting is acceptable. Work may occur from anywhere in the U.S. Altair Engineering, 1820 E. Big Beaver Road, Troy, MI 48083. 40 hrs/wk. 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
