What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compliance Analyst position at Altair Global Services, LLC?
The Compliance Analyst is a temporary Summer Associate role. This position supports the annual SOC audit fieldwork. The position involves liaison with external compliance auditors and the role includes project management, process and controls documentation, and meeting coordination with and between auditors and internal subject matter experts.
• Provide support and documentation before/during annual audit
• Create, maintain and adjust schedules and itineraries for internal team members and external audit teams
• Ensure communication between all parties, providing clear expectations and confirming that workflows are shared with internal Altair departments and department leaders.
• Attend in-person audit meetings as needed, with mandatory attendance required for a one-week duration series of audit meetings (audit schedule to be determined).
• Document and organize schedules, audit results, documentary evidence, and audit status updates.
• Complete occasional tasks related to ongoing external client security assessments and audits, as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Associate's degree, or equivalent combination of experience, skills, training, and education preferred. Ideal areas of study will encompass accounting, business administration, political science; Liberal arts backgrounds/majors balanced with analytical coursework or minor fields of study also highly favorable.
SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:
• Experience with handling email and scheduling via Outlook and Teams
• Instructional or technical writing skills / interest / training
• Basic understanding of Excel
• Solid project management skills
• Auditing or compliance experience valuable, but not required
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities with high degree of independence
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Flexible and efficient time management skills
• Ability to quickly assimilate and understand subject matter in spoken and written format
WORK/PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:
Office setting and/or home office work environment. Team members must be able to operate standard office equipment. Most of the work time is spent seated and working at a computer and on the phone.
