Validation Engineer CAE

Job Summary:
Our client in Dayton, OH area is looking for a Validation Engineer (CAE) Fatigue. This is a Contract position.
The Engineer is responsible for the creating & documentation of modeling plans to the engineering team. They will initiate the new process & tools utilizing FEA & computer engineering programs/software. The Engineer is responsible for overall development, test, evaluation & proving support for mass production startup based on customer requirements. The Engineer will work in cross functional teams within the organization to deliver project that meet customer and company requirements.
· Independent FEA modeling setup & model check to ensure accurate analysis
· Create project reports
· Project Management
· Act as a liason between customer and different groups within the company
· Evaluate validation requirement from customer and develop adequate test methods & design jigs
· Create test reports and present to customers
· Lead product testing and coordinate various activities
· Document test procedures, programs and test systems
· Other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Suspension and chassis components is required
- Experience with Metal Fatigue is required.
- Experience with Hypermesh, Nastran and Abaqus
- · Bachelors Degree in Automotive, Mechanical Engineering or related areas. Years of experience in place of degree is acceptable.
- · 1-5 years of experience preferred.
- · Experience in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- · Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal & written communication
- · Ability to plan & prioritize
- · Experience in FEA
- Catia V5 is preferred.
- · Strong analytical & problem solving skills
- · Blue print reading skills, 2D and 3D drawings
- · Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
