Sr. CAE NVH Engineer
Job Summary
Sr. CAE NVH Engineer (Troy, MI or other unanticipated locations throughout U.S.). Setup, run and evaluate NVH simulations at a subsystem, trimmed body and full vehicle level. Evaluate NVH requirements using latest CAE methods & tools. Setup and evaluate the Mode Map of the Full Vehicle. Setup and evaluate different loading FRF’s. Develop process improvements to enable faster, enhanced, more robust analysis to be performed.
Education/Experience Required
Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field and 12 mo. experience as a NVH Engineer or any related position in automotive engineering. Must have one year of experience in root causing NVH issues pertaining to Electric vehicles using diagnostic tools like transfer path analysis, implementing complex Full vehicle FEA models including NVH Director models, analysis and driving structural resolution of ‘Trimmed BIW’ global modes. Must have one year of experience with ANSA, Hypermesh, HEEDS, developing specifications for drive unit bushing. Must have experience in constructing acoustic cavities for conducting vibro-acoustic analysis. Telecommuting permitted, work may occur anywhere in the U.S. 40 hrs/wk. 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
