 About Your Work 

The Epic Application Lead will be responsible for the overall management, configuration, and optimization of the Epic Tapestry module. This role involves collaborating with clinical and operational stakeholders to enhance patient care and streamline processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Epic applications, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of healthcare operations.  This role is to be responsible for the coordination and maintenance of the application, providing end-users with support, determining methods and procedures on new assignments, resolving issues as they arise as well as proactively managing and coordinating with other Epic Application Analysts across teams to create dynamic user focused solutions.  

This role is remote, and candidates must be willing and able to work during Pacific Standard Time.  

You Will Focus On:

  • Lead the implementation, optimization, and support of the Epic Tapestry application. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze workflows, and design solutions. 
  • Provide expertise in configuration, testing, and maintenance of the Tapestry module. 
  • Train and support end-users to maximize system utilization and effectiveness. 
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies. 
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including user guides and system workflows. 
  • Stay current with Epic updates and best practices, providing recommendations for improvements. 
  • Act as a liaison between IT and clinical teams to ensure seamless integration and communication. 
  • Determines methods and procedures on new assignments. 
  • Coordinate activities of other team members (Team Lead). 
  • Gain an understanding of operational needs to set the direction for the organization's workflows, how applications are currently meeting those needs, and identifying potential problem areas. 
  • Work collaboratively across Epic teams to generate unique and innovative solutions to address user issues. 
  • Analyze technical issues associated with Epic software Identifying and implementing requested changes to the system. 
  • Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. 
  • Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. 
  • Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise. 

The Skills, Experience & Education You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent coursework in Computer Science or related field and/or applicable military experience. 
  • Master's degree or other advanced degree in a related field Computer Science or related field.
  • 8 years professional experience working with Epic applications in a healthcare setting, preferably in an IPA or managed care environment. 
  • 10 years professional experience working with Epic applications in a healthcare setting, preferably in an IPA or managed care environment
  • Epic Tapestry Certified & technically skilled across Epic Applications 
  • Ability and willingness to manage and prioritize multiple assignments or tasks with potentially conflicting deadlines, desire to seek out additional assignments or tasks, and to help others 
  • Ability and desire to quickly learn and develop new skillsets in a quick paced environment 
  • Wide-ranging experience, using professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways 
  • Ability and desire to mentor other analysts on the team 
  • Strong team building and communication skills, both written and oral with internal and external stakeholders

Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements. We provide a competitive compensation package that recognizes your experience, credentials, and education alongside a robust benefits program to meet your needs.

The anticipated pay range for this role is listed in our salary posting for transparency but may vary based on factors including the candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and geographic location. This base pay range is specific to California and can vary based on Bay Area, Metro LA, and Greater California regions which may not be applicable to other locations.

Physical Requirements: Office Environment - roles involving part to full time schedule in Office Environment. Based in our physical offices and work from home office/deskwork – Activity level: Sedentary, frequency most of workday.
