Role
Under direct supervision of the Sr. Financial Analyst, the Financial Analyst will analyze financial information and prepare financial reports, support analysis and construction of financial metrics, the budget and financial forecast processes, and assist the senior analyst with asset liability management and profitability.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Assist the Senior Financial Analyst with monthly update of the Asset Liability Management (ALM) model, including reconciling balances from the general ledger, revising rate changes on various loan and deposit products, gathering and formatting data files from the core system (Symitar) and managing the successful import of loan and deposit products into the ALM model.
Produces Asset Liability Committee Reports (ALCO) reports.
Assists Senior Financial Analyst in maintaining and producing profitability model analysis including: monthly update process, developing and modifying allocation rules for accurate department measurements, quarterly profitability reporting and maintaining supportive spreadsheet files.
Maintain a detailed instruction guide to document procedures for processes in the department.
Assists with annual budgeting process, with ongoing report development.
Assists with providing financial analysis of credit union operations on a requested case by case basis. This includes researching and interpreting data, recommendations, and monitoring of assignments.
Develop the skills to provide backup for secondary mortgage operations, which includes pricing, pipeline, analysis and procurement of mortgage sales to approved secondary market conduits.
Develop the skills to provide backup for Business Intelligence Analyst including running analysis and reports in the Customer Information System.
Remains active in credit union training programs. Complete the position’s present curriculum as outlined by completing the following – credit union annual required compliance training and the supplemental courses listed within the prescribed time. Follows policy and procedure daily to ensure compliant with current regulations.

Qualifications
Knowledge and Skills
Experience
1-2 years’ experience in analytics, banking or investments. Strong Excel knowledge. Basic knowledge of investments, including fixed income securities, investment markets, and mortgage products and operations.
Education/Certifications/Licenses
A Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Finance, Mathematics, or a closely related field.
Other Skills
Fundamental knowledge of accounting, finance, and economic principles. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment including proficiency in Word and Excel. High reasoning skills including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to understand new information and apply it to current and future job functions, problem solving, and decision making. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.

Physical Requirements
Is able to bend, sit, and stand in order to perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
Working Conditions
Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled private office with minimal noise.

Salary : $68,640 - $78,337
