What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Information System Analyst position at AltaOne Federal Credit Union?
Role
In support of AltaOne Federal Credit Union’s Vision, Mission, Values and Culture, the HRIS Analyst will support
and maintain specialized and internal HR systems, services, and applications used in organizations with
customized or specialized needs. Assists in the development and implementation of new or updated systems,
reports and dashboards, and policies and procedures. In addition, the HRIS Analyst will be responsible for day to-
day support of HRIS systems impacting time and attendance, benefits, payroll, applicant tracking, data
requests, and reporting and data analysis. This position ensures accurate best practice business
process/workflows and other system dependencies are in place to support departmental needs. Collaborates
with Leadership and internal partners to suggest and/or deploy analytics needed for business objectives.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversees and maintains optimal function of the organizations internal HR information
services systems which may include database management, network support,
installation, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrades to applications,
systems, and modules.
- Collaborates with Leadership, HR, and other departments to identify needed
improvements and enhancements to existing information services and databases;
recommends and implements solutions.
- Maintains the integrity of the existing HRIS structure, security, and data.
- Accountable for the development and distribution if critical reports/dashboards to the
organization. Compiles or assists with the acquisition if complex data reports,
summaries, and logs as requested by senior executives and HR Staff.
- Serves as the lead liaison between HR, Information Services, and other stakeholders for
HR Database design and implementation projects.
- Ensures system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.
- Lead the vendor relationship and stay informed of the industry trends, developments,
and new technologies in data management and security, HR Technology, and HRIS
applications.
- Implements efficient means of data collection and maintenance. Responsible for the
generation of regular and specialized reports.
- Work in a project lead capacity for departmental technology projects-identifying needs,
timeline, results, and implementation changes.
- Understand numerous, interrelated processes, Human Resources, and programs for
driving improvements and automation in order to increase quality, experience and
effectiveness.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills
EXPERIENCE
Two to Five years of similar or related experiece, including time spent in preparatory positions. Experience
with Paycom preferred Project Management or system implementation experience preferred
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
A high school degree or GED is required. A high school degree or GED is required. Bachelor's Degree a plus.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogue, conversations and
explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or
highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising
others on matters of significance. Typically includes subject matter experts as well as first level to middle
managers.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Is able to bend, sit, and stand in order to perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and
occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.
Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones,
copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8
hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or
requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.
MENTAL AND/OR EMOTIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on
own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral
instructions. Must be able to complete basic mathematical calculations, spell accurately, and understand
computer basics. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable
sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from
diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of
customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with
composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace.
Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of
exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
