Accordia Health and Wellness is a multiservice health and wellness clinic that health and wellness care to both members of the community and employees of Altapointe Health systems. Our services include:

Our care team is lead by our Nurse Practitioner and includes both clinical and office professionals to ensure that patients are receiving Compassionate family medical care with a whole body wellness approach.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day operations

  • Responsible for the performance of the clinic’s front desk and medical support staff. Provides training, guidance, and support as needed.
  • Maintain efficient telephone triage, appointment scheduling, registration, patient flow, and discharge procedures to enhance patient satisfaction and physician productivity.
  • Provide oversight or direct intervention with clients with billing-related matters; assisting clients and/or staff in resolving insurance- related
  • Oversees current inventory of medical, pharmaceutical, and administrative supplies.
  • Develop and implement workflows and process improvements to improve clinic operations and enhance the patient experience.
  • Creates an engaging environment

  • Provide assistance in achieving a client-centered service culture, among staff and other partners
  • Responsible for ensuring effective communication with all staff and providers regarding policies, procedures, forms, changes, and requirements.
  • Leads team with exemplary practices when training, coaching, evaluating and implementing the progressive discipline policy when necessary.
  • Medical Assistant/Practice Support Specialist Duties

  • Assists with the completion of the assessment process of patients including but not limited to the following: height/weight, vital signs, and current medications, administering injections and following delegation from the medical practitioner in absence of medical assistant staff.
  • Assists with the completion of front desk tasks including but not limited answering and triaging telephone calls, scheduling, insurance verification, collecting payment, etc. in the absence of the practice support specialist.
  • Supervision and Consultation

  • Seeks supervision and consultation as needed.
  • Accepts and employs suggestions for improvement
  • Actively works to enhance skills
  • Qualifications

    Past expereince in medical office management with Certified Clinical Medical Assistant experience preferred. Knowledgeable in revenue cycle management in a healthcare related field and medical assistant duties. Strong computer skills, proven supervisory skills, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail required. High School or GED equivalent required.
