Responsibilities
Primary Job Functions:
Create functional, safe, and aesthetically supportive environments that improve patient care, staff efficiency, and well-being, while meeting healthcare regulations and standards.
- Conducts space utilization analysis and develops plans to maximize facility use. Makes space allocation recommendations to administration.
- Design, develop and manage interior specific and related projects, and provide interior design for various miscellaneous and in-house designed projects
- Ensure all designs comply with healthcare regulations, including ADA accessibility, safety codes, and infection control
- Provides direction to external vendors and architecture & interior design consultants, and contractors, in addition to implementing any size or complexity of in-house design projects including space planning, furniture and finish selections and specifications
- Recommends new project scopes of work and budgets, as applicable, working with departmental staff as projects are identified for development
- Stay up to date on healthcare design trends, emerging technologies, and changes in regulatory standards to ensure our facilities remain cutting-edge and compliant
- Travel to various AltaPointe facilities for site assessments, meetings, and coordination

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is required. 5 years of related experience required.
Additional Qualifications and Skills:
The following job-specific skills and competencies are preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in interior design, Architecture, or related field
- Experience in interior design with a focus on healthcare projects
- Strong portfolio demonstrating successful completion of workplace design projects
- Experience with space management systems
- Experience with AutoCAD or other computer-aided design software
- Intermediate/advanced MS Excel
- In-depth knowledge of and experience in space information systems and space planning
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship management skills
- Experience working at all levels of an organization, as well as with teams and individually
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
