Job Summary
AltaPointe's Adult Residential Services provide social rehabilitation and community support for consumers with serious and persistent mental illness. Our staff offers medical, nursing, and clinical services to over 200 adults in need of intensive care. The Adult Residential Services Program consists of group homes with 24/7 supervision.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications while observing the Seven Rights and monitor consumers for potential side effects.
- Provide medication education to consumers and their families.
- Review Medication Administration Records (MARs) daily to ensure appropriate management.
- Identify psychiatric and medical needs and communicate with physicians.
- Observe consumer behavior and interact with them to evaluate needs.
- Interface with the multi-disciplinary team to develop treatment plans.
- Monitor laboratory results and report abnormalities to physicians.
- Recognize crisis situations and deescalate or resolve them as needed.
Qualifications
- Must be a current LPN in the state of Alabama.
- Frequent standing, sitting, walking, squatting, and fine manipulation are required.
- Lifting weights up to 40-50lbs is occasionally necessary.
