Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all decisions prioritize the principle of doing what is best for students, grounded in the belief that all children are capable of success.
- Build strong relationships with students, staff, and the community to create a cohesive environment that fosters growth and success in alignment with the district’s mission and vision.
- Create opportunities and programs that encourage academic, social, and emotional flourishing for all students, promoting equitable access to high-quality education.
- Develop and administer an educational program aligned with local board policies and state standards to deliver a high-quality learning experience.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement effective instructional strategies through workshops, training sessions, and ongoing professional development.
- Monitor classroom instruction, provide constructive feedback, and evaluate the performance of teachers and professional staff to ensure instructional excellence.
- Direct, oversee, and evaluate the performance of all staff, including clerical, cafeteria, and custodial teams, to maintain quality services.
- Foster positive relationships with parents, community organizations, and local leaders to enhance school-community collaboration.
- Work with staff to integrate volunteers effectively into the educational environment to enrich student experiences.
- Conduct regular meetings and conferences with teachers, students, and parents to address educational, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
- Serve as a liaison between parents and professional staff, ensuring effective programs for students with diverse needs, including learning disabilities and special needs.
- Maintain a visible and active presence on campus, including common areas, to promote safety, security, and a positive school culture.
- Collaborate with staff to prepare and manage the school budget, ensuring expenditures align with approved allocations.
- Oversee the allocation and maintenance of equipment, instructional materials, and supplies to support educational goals.
- Supervise the preparation and submission of reports, including attendance, assessments, and other required documentation, to district and state agencies.
- Ensure the school facilities are well-maintained and repairs are conducted promptly, working within allocated resources.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with educators, parents, and community leaders.
- Exceptional organizational and leadership skills to manage the complex operations of a middle school.
- Ability to analyze and address challenges proactively, fostering a positive and collaborative school environment.
- Proficiency in using data to inform decision-making and improve student outcomes.
- Master’s degree or higher in Educational Leadership or a related field.
- Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate.
- Valid Arizona Principal Certificate.
- A minimum of five years of successful teaching experience, preferably at the middle school level.
- Proven leadership experience in an educational setting.
- Prior Administrative Experience Preferred.
- Valid Arizona driver’s license.
- Experience with diverse student populations and implementing equitable practices.
- Familiarity with middle school educational frameworks and adolescent development.
- Demonstrated success in fostering a positive school culture and academic achievement.
