Job Summary
As Cloud Architect you will guide the evolution of Allvue’s cloud computing platform in AWS and set the foundation to help our product teams deliver value to our customers quickly and safely. You will work in partnership with our Platform and Architecture teams to lay out a vision, design, realize and evolve our AWS platform and landing zone to enable our engineering teams across the business. You will work alongside our architecture and engineering teams to both modernize our legacy applications and create net new cloud native applications and services, with the ultimate goal of reducing friction, improving quality, and delivering faster for our customers. The successful candidate will possess strong technical and leadership skills, with a history of defining technical architectures, driving cultural change, and delivering on complex technology initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Create and enforce cloud architectural standards, including security, scalability, availability, and reliability.
- Design for end-to-end software lifecycle automation, cloud infrastructure management and other initiatives.
- Investigate and research the latest Cloud technologies and services, evaluating their potential impact within our surrounding our solutions
- Collaborate with product architects and teams to create and evolve new and existing products in the cloud
- Create and maintain automation tools and code for configuration management, deployment, and maintenance of cloud-based infrastructure
- Develop and maintain documentation of system architectures, processes, and procedures.
- Champion an atmosphere of continuous improvement by serving as a coach, mentor, and technical advisor.
- Be the leading technical voice within the team, aiding in diligent architectural decisions and fostering a culture of high-quality code and engineering processes.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to ensure successful delivery and operation of diverse systems at scale.
- Communicate and advocate for solutions across the organization, including to management, technical teams, and other architects.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in current technology and that of individual systems. Avoid the creation of, quickly identify, and prioritize the remediation of technical debt.
