AltCap Program Coordinator

JOB DESCRIPTION

AltCap is a local leader in equitable lending and ally to underestimated entrepreneurs. We pair financing expertise and on-the-ground advocacy to give small business owners access to affordable, patient capital they need to start, grow, and thrive. Our lending is not a handout, it is a community and economic catalyst. By igniting the entrepreneurship potential that traditional lenders may overlook, we empower entrepreneurs throughout our communities to build a more inclusive, vibrant local economy.

The Program Coordinator will play a key role in advancing AltCap’s mission of increasing our small business and microloan deployment in traditionally underserved communities and marginalized entrepreneurs. Reporting to the Community Partnerships Manager, the Program Coordinator will lead and expand AltCap’s business development initiatives, capacity building efforts, and relationship management with business assistance networks across our markets. This position provides an opportunity to work with AltCap’s small business clients and the business support networks and community partners that support them, as well as lead internal efforts to expand AltCap’s Loan Readiness education and resource offerings across Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Texas, and Colorado.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Partnerships Manager in administering new and existing business support programs and products, including the Loan Readiness Accelerator and AltCap Your Biz pitch competition, that support the development and growth of our clients.
  • Support the Partnerships Manager in executing key deliverables for community projects and initiatives and identify opportunities for ongoing business support to applicants and borrowers.
  • Collaborate with the Partnerships Manager to maintain AltCap’s internal database of funding, outreach, service providers, and banking partners.

  • Work alongside the Marketing and Communications Team to develop and implement integrated campaigns for key programs and new initiatives involving community partners.
  • Assist with grant applications and funding proposals to support new initiatives, business support programs, and advisory services.
  • Research and help prepare reports on trends in small business advisory services, best practices on Loan Readiness education and guidance, and models for client training and development.
  • Partner with the Business Financing Specialist for intake of applicants who require training services and direct them to business assistance partners.
  • Support the improvement and streamlining of program processes, procedures, and documentation to enhance efficiency and alignment with organizational goals.
