Altech Solutions is a provider of innovative IT services and solutions supporting mission-critical systems for federal agencies, including NASA and the Department of Defense. We are seeking a highly skilled Maximo Application Suite System Administrator to join our team supporting the NASA AEGIS contract.
As a Maximo System Administrator, you will oversee the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of IBM Maximo systems (both Maximo 7.6 and the Maximo Application Suite (MAS)). You will play a key role in ensuring system reliability, security, and performance while supporting NASA’s Facilities and Real Estate Division (FRED) IT operations.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain IBM Maximo 7.6 and transition to Maximo Application Suite (MAS).
- Configure, customize, and optimize Maximo modules, workflows, security settings, and integrations.
- Manage enterprise-level data stores and ensure data integrity for compute services.
- Monitor system performance and implement solutions to improve stability and efficiency.
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and version migrations with minimal downtime.
- Manage user roles, security controls, and access settings in compliance with organizational policies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver technical solutions.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and user training.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Ensure compliance with IT governance, security policies, zero-trust architecture, and data compliance standards.
- Integrate Maximo with other enterprise systems and data sources.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3 years of experience administering and supporting IBM Maximo Application Suite.
- Strong knowledge of Maximo modules, workflows, and configurations.
- Experience with SQL, database management, and system integrations.
- Familiarity with WebSphere, Liberty, or other middleware technologies.
- Understanding of asset management, work management, and supply chain processes within Maximo.
- Proficiency in multifactor authentication, zero trust security, and data compliance requirements.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Maximo automation scripts, BIRT reporting, and MIF (Maximo Integration Framework) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- IBM Certified Maximo Administrator certification.
- Experience with cloud-hosted Maximo environments.
- Knowledge of security best practices and role-based access control (RBAC).
- Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
