Job Description
We are seeking a Design/Development Release Engineer for Vehicle Access and Key Authentication ECU modules. The Engineer will work with product design/release engineers and various support groups to specify and carry out development and partner with suppliers to complete design and qualify for production. The Engineer will interface with EE Systems group to define vehicle level functional specifications, vehicle packaging teams, and Product Design Office to define first surface components.
The candidate will also: Develop component level specifications; participate in Product Assurance Planning (Program Management); manage the supplier of the components to ensure vehicle program milestones are met/achieved; review component DFMEA (Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis); deliver DVRR (Design Validation and Reliability Report) and complete applicable compliance reports. The candidate will participate in Reactive Quality Problem Solving and will be supporting Supplier Quality during Process Sign-off (PS) and PFMEA reviews (Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis). Travel for plant support may be required for this position.

Basic Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical from an ABET accredited university
- A minimum of 3 years of experience developing and/or testing automotive electronic systems
- Ability to manage and prioritize issues/tasks in directing multiple products and suppliers
- Working knowledge of CAN, CAN FD and Ethernet networks and associated analytical tools
- Experience with RF/Wireless systems and component design
- Knowledge of molding and packaging processes
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft/Google Office Suite applications
- Strong oral and written communication
- Strong leadership skills (prepared to lead a supplier team)
- Six Sigma or Shainin certification
- Knowledge of electronic product manufacturing processes
