Responsibilities;
- Lead engineering deliverables for high-voltage (HV) battery projects.
- Own and manage HV hardware with suppliers, ensuring project timelines and quality standards are met.
- Coordinate deliverable activities within the ESS release team, validation team, and vehicle teams.
- Design and optimize HV battery hardware, including circuit analysis, thermal analysis, and electromechanical optimization.
- Develop and execute validation plans for HV battery packs, sub-components, and full assemblies.
- Oversee the DV (Design Verification) Plan for HV battery systems, ensuring compliance with automotive standards.
- Support testing activities at supplier facilities, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Manage instrumentation and testing for HV battery components and complete assemblies.
- Develop comprehensive validation strategies for HV battery systems, ensuring reliability and durability.
- Execute any other related engineering and validation tasks as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in HV battery hardware engineering, testing, and validation within the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of HV battery instrumentation, testing methodologies, and validation processes.
- Experience working with suppliers to develop, test, and validate HV battery components and assemblies.
- Proficiency in circuit analysis, thermal analysis, and electromechanical design for battery systems.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure timely deliverables.
- Hands-on experience with testing HV battery packs and components in supplier environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to work fully onsite in Novi, MI.
